Disabled American Veterans to appear at Air Show

PORTSMOUTH — The Disabled American Veterans will take to the skies to advance its message of service to disabled veterans at the 2010 Boston-Portsmouth Air Show Aug. 28-29 at the Portsmouth International Airport at Pease.
Now, in its eighth season, the DAV Air show Outreach Program featuring the B-25 Mitchell Bomber of World War II notoriety appears nationwide at more than 25 air shows and reaches over 3 million air show spectators annually in an effort to promote the DAV’s mission of building better lives for America’s disabled veterans.
The DAV Airshow Outreach Program was developed to increase public awareness of disabled veterans and to serve veterans in communities across the nation. Using B-25 medium bombers, the program reminds the public of the sacrifices veterans have made and continue to make to keep our nation free.
