Attend Our Open House – October 4 and 5

The Americans in Wartime Museum will host its annual open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on October 4 and 5, 2014, at “The Tank Farm,” 13906 Aden Road, Nokesville, VA.  The family-friendly event, which is open to the public, is a preview of the future Museum, which is being built in Prince William County, Virginia.

This year’s event features new demonstrations and a flyover by a WWII P-51 Mustang fighter. Visitors will also have a chance to see the Museum’s new Oral History Mobile Studio, “The Voices of Freedom.” Suggested donation for attending is $10/adult with children attending free. Those planning to attend are asked to register by clicking here.

Visit Us on the National Mall on Sunday, May 25

Planning to be part of this weekend’s Rolling Thunder events on the National Mall? Stop by our location on Henry Bacon Drive near the Lincoln Memorial on Sunday. The Museum will be displaying an important artifact from our collection — a fire engine recovered from the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. The entire crew gave their lives that day.
