The Tank Farm had an unlikely visitor in March. Ozzy Osbourne and his son Jack came out to film an episode of a new show named, “Ozzy and Jacks World Detour.” The show is slated for ten hour long episodes and will feature Ozzy and his son Jack, both self proclaimed history nerds. They hit the road and make their way around the world stopping at historically significant spots that include Mt. Rushmore, The Alamo, the Jamestown Settlement, and yes, the Tank Farm.
While at the Tank Farm, Ozzy took a tour led by museum staff and was very intrigued to say the least by the tanks and other military vehicles. He took a ride on the Chaffee and even took his turn at the controls. One member of the crew said that the stop at the Tank Farm was the highlight of the tour for Ozzy. The day was punctuated when the Chaffee lit off 2 rounds out of the 75mm gun.
“Ozzy and Jacks World Detour” premiers on Saturday, July 24th at 10pm on the History Channel. The first episode, we are excited to announce will feature the Tank Farm and the Chaffee with Ozzy at the controls.
